Our famiy
In 1943, Giovanni Vescovi (born 1912), and his brother Mario set up in business making beaten copper pots and pans. Things were tough at the time because money was scarce, but the brothers certainly had no lack of determination.
Times changed for the better when the war finished. Giovanni had the bright idea of switching to the production of wood-burning stoves. The brothers' first stove appeared in 1946, the tiny workshop under their house started to make a name for itself, and business began to pick up. Over the next few years, the name and reputation of Giovanni Vescovi as a skilled craftsman and a maker of robust, good quality cooking stoves spread throughout the Trentino Alto Adige region and into the upper half of the province of Verona.

The same years saw the production of the firm's first wood burning catering cookers, at a time when most caterers still relied on natural fuels. In the early 1960s, Mario left the company and Giovanni's son Lamberto (born 1941) took his place.
The new generation brought with it the spirit of innovation, and the company's products were redesigned to suit modern technical and stylistic needs. The company's first real sales organisation, stretching beyond the confines of the local region, was also set up during this period.
During the 1980s, at great sacrifice and risk, the company built the new production plant it needed to expand into the future.

It is not enough to master the secrets of fire. These can be handed down from father to son. To turn a bright idea into a unique product you need creativity and years of experience in choosing and working with the very best materials and technologies.
For Diego and Patrizia, the third generation of the Vescovi family, at the head of the company since the 1990s, the only possible approach is one of "continuous investment in professionalism and quality".

The latest generation of the Vescovi family is still introducing new ideas, keeping a close eye on market trends and confidently planning for the future. The products illustrated in this catalogue prove the point.
Vescovi has undergone even more changes in recent years: major expansion work and thorough reorganisation of the production and management processes have transformed what was once a firm of artisans into a modern industrial company. Today's market, not only Italy but throughout Europe, requires a new approach and new ideas. Modern technology has been introduced, and the decision taken to build the future of Vescovi on quality at all costs.
But the story does not finish here. With the help of the family and everybody who shares the spirit of our company's founder, the Vescovi story will continue for many years to come
